Weekly Project Update – August 2, 2024
The following work is scheduled over the next three weeks:
Garden State Parkway Mileposts 140 to 143
Micro-milling and sawcut grooving of bridge decks will be completed by approximately August 2, 2024. This work will require temporary lane closures during the night shift along the GSP.
Deck gland installation at 141.3, 141.7 and 141.9 is underway and will continue into late August.
Bridge No. 140.2, GSP under Galloping Hill Road
On June 20, 2024, cleaning and painting of structural steel began and will continue through August 8. This work will require temporary lane closures during the night shift along the GSP NB/SB.
On or about July 30, 2024, the south sidewalk on GHR will begin construction. Completion will be in early August
On or about August 8, 2024, traffic on GHR will shift into stage 5A. Traffic on Galloping Hill Road has been shifted to a new traffic pattern (Stage 4) with reduced lane widths.
Bridge No. 141.3, GSP over Route 22 EB
Spall repairs will commence under Structure 141.3 on July 30, 2024, and be completed by approximately August 8, 2024. This will require nightly lane closings on Rt 22 EB.
Bridge No. 141.7, GSP over Morris Avenue (Route 82)
No work is scheduled at this location.
Bridge No. 141.9, GSP over Route 22 WB
No work is scheduled at this location.
