Weekly Project Update – November 10, 2023

The following work is scheduled over the next three weeks:

Garden State Parkway Mileposts 140 to 143

On October 10, 2023, paving of the mainline roadway on the Northbound Roadway of the Garden State Parkway began. This work will be performed under temporary nightly lane closures and will be completed by approximately December 1, 2023.

On October 19, 2023, micro-milling on bridge decks at Structures 141.3 NB, 141.7 NB, and 141.9 NB began. This work will be performed under temporary nightly lane closures and will be completed by approximately December 1, 2023.

On November 5, 2023, removal of MPT and the shift back to the original configuration on the Southbound Garden State Parkway between mileposts 140.1 and 142.2 was completed.

On November 8, 2023, paving of the mainline roadway on the Southbound Garden State Parkway began. This work will be performed under temporary nightly lane closures and will be completed by approximately December 1, 2023.

On or about November 13, 2023, micro-milling on bridge decks at Structures 141.3 SB, 141.7 SB, and 141.9 SB will begin. This work will be performed under temporary nightly lane closures and will be completed by approximately December 1, 2023.

Bridge No. 140.2, GSP under Galloping Hill Road

On November 9, 2022, traffic on Galloping Hill Road was shifted to a new traffic pattern (Stage 1A). All existing travel lanes remain open, but lane widths have been reduced.

On or about November 13, 2023, traffic on Galloping Hill Road will be shifted to a new traffic pattern (Stage 2). All existing travel lanes will remain open, but lane widths will be reduced.

On or about November 14, 2023, demolition of the existing bridge deck in Stage 2 will begin.

Bridge No. 141.3, GSP over Route 22 EB

No work is scheduled at this location.

Bridge No. 141.7, GSP over Morris Avenue (Route 82)

No work is scheduled at this location.

Bridge No. 141.9, GSP over Route 22 WB

No work is scheduled at this location.
