Weekly Project Update – November 17, 2023
The following work is scheduled over the next three weeks:
Garden State Parkway Mileposts 140 to 143
On October 10, 2023, paving of the mainline roadway on the Northbound Roadway of the Garden State Parkway began. This work will be performed under temporary nightly lane closures and will be completed by approximately December 1, 2023.
On October 19, 2023, micro-milling on bridge decks at Structures 141.3 NB, 141.7 NB, and 141.9 NB began. This work will be performed under temporary nightly lane closures and will be completed by approximately December 1, 2023.
On November 8, 2023, paving of the mainline roadway on the Southbound Garden State Parkway began. This work will be performed under temporary nightly lane closures and will be completed by approximately December 1, 2023.
On November 13, 2023, micro-milling on bridge decks at Structures 141.3 SB, 141.7 SB, and 141.9 SB began. This work will be performed under temporary nightly lane closures and will be completed by approximately December 1, 2023.
Bridge No. 140.2, GSP under Galloping Hill Road
On November 14, 2023, traffic on Galloping Hill Road was shifted to a new traffic pattern (Stage 2). All existing travel lanes will remain open, but lane widths will be reduced.
On November 15, 2023, demolition of the existing bridge deck in Stage 2 began and will be completed by approximately November 30, 2023.
On or about December 1, 2023, installation of end diaphragm and expansion joints in Stage 2 will begin.
