NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN: SEPTEMBER 2022
Construction will occur on the Garden State Parkway between mileposts 140 and 143 starting on September 7, 2022 at 10 PM, and lasting for approximately 8 months until May 2023. Over this period, the following construction and changes in traffic patterns will occur:
All Southbound traffic lanes will be shifted to the right beginning at Exit 142
The lanes will be of reduced width
It is anticipated that traffic impacts will be moderate during peak travel periods until motorists become accustomed and adjust to the new traffic pattern.
Variable message signs to alert motorists of the construction will be placed along the Northbound and Southbound Roadway one week in advance of the planned construction start date.
Motorists can call 511 from any phone from a hands-free device (Listen for the initial voice prompt and ask for traffic conditions. Motorists can ask for a specific Highway, City, or even a point of interest). Information regarding this project is posted on our web site at www.GSP140to143.com.
